Domestic shipping or a local store: what should you compare?
An international company may dispatch from a warehouse in your country. A store with a local name may ship from abroad. Distinguish the store identity from the shipment origin.
Four different pieces of information
| Information | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Delivery country | The destination for which the offer and price are valid. |
| Dispatch origin | Where the product ships from; this is what the domestic shipping filter uses. |
| Seller | Who sells the product and is responsible for the purchase conditions. On a marketplace this may be a third-party seller. |
| Return address | Where you must send the product if a return is allowed under the store conditions. |
A lower price may not be the best option
Compare the final cost for the same variant and quantity. A lower product price may come with higher shipping costs. The reverse is also possible: a large store may have a domestic warehouse and competitive delivery.
Treat delivery times as estimates, especially when they depend on postal code, availability or international shipping. Domestic shipping does not automatically mean fast delivery or no additional charges.
Before visiting the store
- Check the model, size, condition and quantity.
- Check whether the price applies to your destination and requires a subscription, coupon or first purchase.
- Check shipping and other charges at checkout.
- Read the time limit, conditions and cost of a possible return.
When authorised data does not include the origin or cost, Zeta should show “unknown”. We do not infer these conditions from the store name or size.
